About the role
Vessel is the external marketing team for B2B companies that want to win better projects, attract stronger talent, and be seen as leaders in their space.
We are looking for a talented and driven B2B marketer with strong visual storytelling skills to execute and manage content for a portfolio of clients. This role is both strategic and execution-heavy: you will personally create your clients’ content (copy, visuals, and campaigns) across LinkedIn and email. You will own a portfolio of clients end-to-end: plan, create, and publish content consistently for their social and digital channels so they stand out in the markets that matter to them.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and execute all digital content deliverables for assigned clients
- Plan and design content calendars, including post ideas, captions, and industry research
- Create and edit photos, graphics, and short-form video for social posts using basic design and video tools.
- Coordinate and support on-site content shoots with clients when needed.
- Update and design marketing materials for clients (presentations, one-pagers, PDFs) as needed.
- Develop and maintain detailed marketing strategies for multiple clients at once
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients and proactively bring ideas and recommendations to them
- Maintain direct communication with clients, ensuring their needs are addressed promptly
- Coordinate strategy meetings regularly
- Schedule and monitor posts for assigned clients (primarily LinkedIn, occasionally Facebook, and Instagram)
- Review performance analytics and client feedback to understand what’s working and refine future content.
- Stay current on best practices, tools, and trends for B2B marketing on LinkedIn and email.
- Work closely with the CEO and the Vessel team to align on strategy, messaging, and new ideas for clients.
Key Attributes:
- Strategic & Forward-thinking: Provides clear marketing direction and guidance, leading initiatives that align with and advance clients’ overall marketing strategies.
- Creativity: Ability to create engaging, original content that captures an audience’s attention and generates innovative ideas tailored to each client’s story and strategic goals.
- Problem-Solver: Solution-oriented and adaptable when tackling complex challenges. Thinks outside the box, adjusts strategies based on analytics and trends, and remains flexible in response to evolving client needs.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal skills with the ability to be an effective storyteller, working with a strategic mindset to develop and execute effective marketing strategies.
- Detail-Oriented: Ensuring accuracy and quality in all posts and interactions
- Customer-oriented and Results-driven: Focused on achieving measurable outcomes by using data to derive actionable insights.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with social media platforms, email campaign tools, and analytics. Basic comfort with making simple website updates is a plus!.
- Organizational Skills: Proactive and self-motivated with excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
- Team Player: Effective and positive collaboration with the CEO, team members, and clients.
- Passionate: Eager, upbeat, curious, and ambitious for growth with a deep interest in B2B marketing.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
Preferred Experience:
- Relevant experience or knowledge in the construction, industrial, or maritime industries
- Planning, execution, and monitoring of content creation with experience managing business and professional accounts
- Production experience using Canva and scheduling programs
- Production experience with video editing and/or photography
- Proficient in working in G Suite
- Experience running Meta and LinkedIn Ad Campaigns
- Newsletter writing is a plus!

Tulane University’s central communications and marketing team is seeking a contract copywriter, with the potential for an extended engagement.
The ideal candidate will have several years of true copywriting experience, with a strong background in marketing, advertising and campaign writing. The role may also involve providing input on web content from an SEO/GEO perspective and helping ensure copy is clear, compelling, audience-focused and aligned with Tulane’s voice and brand.
